Today we meet Ashley, 24, and Kelsie, 23. They have been together 3 1/2 years and have a daughter who is almost three. I think they are our youngest couple so far! Ah, young love.
1. How, when, and where did you meet and what is the first thing you thought about your partner when you met?
Ashley: We first met at work (Pizza Hut), in 2008. Honestly my first thought was that she was an annoying high school girl, but that was just at first. I didn’t give her enough of a chance that early on. At the time I was in a relationship and I was only 18 and she was like 16. But appearance wise, I was attracted to her for sure.
Kelsie: We met at Pizza Hut. She was working there when I started work there about 7 years ago. I thought she was the cutest but was also kind of rude and she fully ignored me.
Oh, Pizza Hut. Why aren’t there more romantic songs about you?
2. What is your favorite physical feature of your partner?
Ashley: Do I really have to say just one thing? I am attracted to her as a whole, but I think the first features that I look at when I look at her, are her eyes and her lips.
Kelsie: Her green eyes and those legs! Oh, and her hands and lips.
Young love, I reiterate.
3. What is your favorite personality trait of your partner?
Ashley: Her ability to roll things off her back and not let them stress her out.
Kelsie: She gives everyone a chance. She isn’t quick to judge and she is always looking for the good in every single person.
They seem to appreciate deep level qualities about each other, and these particular qualities are helpful ones for successful long term relationships.
4. What is something your partner does nearly every day that makes you happy?
Ashley: cuddles with me at some point in the day.
Kelsie: She tells me everything about her day. Whether she was at home or at work I always get a story and I love that she wants to take the time to share it with me.
I like those. These two seem really connected.
5. What is the nicest thing your partner ever did for you, in your whole relationship?
Ashley: I feel like there are too many to say. But I think it would be allowing me to show her that I could be a great parent to our daughter. When she was born, she trusted me to be what they needed.
Kelsie: She rubbed my back while I was in labor. I’ll never forget that moment. It was perfect!
It is nice how their nicest things both involve their daughter. They seem like very invested parents. I have seen this sometimes with younger parents, where the couple takes particular pride in embracing the parent role together, possibly because younger parents are generally thought of as more irresponsible in popular culture nowadays.
6. List the top five best qualities of your spouse: physical, emotional, mental, anything.
Ashley: 1. Her independence. 2. Her boobs. 3. Her judgement of character. 4. Her parenting. 5. Her ass. 
(all of those in no particular order really.)
Kelsie: Eyes, Helpful, Legs, Genuine, Understanding.
“Her parenting, her ass” is a good quote.
7. What are the top five things you and your partner have in common? Values, interests, goals, etc.
Ashley: Religion (agnostic), how we feel about money, how we feel about family, we are both homebodies, we both strive make a better world.
Kelsie: Values (be a good person..etc.), Religion, Politics, Parenting strategies, Cats.
Similarly: “parenting strategies, cats.”
8. How often do you hug? Kiss? Have sex?
Ashley: we hug often when we are together at home, hugs are usually hand in hand with kisses. I would say we have sex at least once a week usually. Sometimes more.
Kelsie: I couldn’t count how many times we hug and kiss a day. So many hugs and kisses. We have sex maybe one or two times a week.
They seem very physically affectionate even though one partner has a low sex drive. This can compensate, sometimes!
9. Which of you has a higher sex drive and how do you deal with any differences in sex drive between the two of you?
Ashley: I have the higher sex drive. Usually I talk to her about it if its bothering me, sometimes I just take care of it myself because I don’t wanna bug her about it.
Kelsie: Ashley has the higher sex drive. To handle the difference in our sex drives we just talk about it. We aren’t afraid to discuss anything.
10. How long did you wait to have sex? Are you glad you had sex for the first time when you did?
Ashley: we had sex the first night we spent together. I’m glad it happened then because it was something that had been building for quite a while.
Kelsie: We had sex on our first “date”. Although we knew each other for 4 years before that. I was very glad that we waited until we were officially together instead of just friends.
Very sweet!
11. What is the number one issue you fight about, and are you working on resolving it?
Ashley: the number one issue we fight about is probably sex (me wanting to be touched more often, and feeling like she doesn’t ever think to do it.) We recently had a very long talk about this, and we have both been working on it. She is being more considerate and I’m being more verbal.
Kelsie: Our number one struggle is sex. I have a very limited sex drive and Ashley has a very high sex drive. We have been talking through it with each other and we are both being more understanding with each other.

12. What are the top three stressors in your lives?
Ashley: 1. Money 2. Work 3. A toddler.
Kelsie: Money, Sex, Work schedules
Common ones, all of them.
13. What is one thing that you’re looking forward to as a couple?
Ashley: Having baby #2.
Kelsie: Getting a house and having more babies!

Kelsie: I knew that I needed you forever the night that you told me we couldn’t talk anymore.
